Stop what you are doing! Right now. And go get the Bossypants audio book. Not kidding. Get! Go now! Tina Fey reads it and it is HIL.AR.I.OUS!!

Skip Eat, Pray, Love and Wicked. I started both and put them down after three or four chapters. Couldn’t make it happen. Same with The Catcher and the Rye. Well I read that one, because I felt obligated as it was a classic. If you do read it, don’t expect a climax. There is no action whatsoever.

Harry Potter? WHAT?? You haven’t read that yet?! Get on it.

I read The Color Purple this year. I wish I would have read that YEARS ago along with 1984 and Slaughterhouse Five.

If you haven’t read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc. add that to the list. Uh-mazing!

You have read some great books! Yep….working on the Hunger Games trilogy too. I am way behind in my reading and my list is long!

Great list! I’d also recommend anything by Christopher Moore (sort of magical realism and very funny)

  6. Christy Maurer

Well, it looks like you are open to any kind of book, so I have a few suggestions :) I absolutely love Lesley Kagan and Sarah Addison Allen. They each have about 5 books…somewhere around there. I loved Blood Red Road and Rebel Heart (not available yet…got an ARC) by Moira Young. Nevermore and Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh. I never finished Wicked (hated the first few chapters). All of the Giver books, all of Harry Potter, ok, that’s enough for now lol.

Have you tried any of Iris Johansen’s books ? The Eve Duncan series is awesome !!

Listening to audio books is practical and it meets the busy lifestyle of contemporary people. You can tune in to your favorite books anytime anywhere, while you are walking, sh… The popularity of iPod and MP3 players has raised the marketplace of audiobooks in recent years. Some book publishers also believed that audio books could outsell paperback books or e-books one day. Indeed, this pattern is clear if you think about some great benefits of audio books over paperback books. .
