Aspen Creek Restaurant in Louisville KY

Every since we moved away from our family in Florida we really haven’t made many holiday dinners, especially for the smaller holidays like Easter. This year was no exception.

After accidentally making reservations at a place we didn’t really like we ended up having to make a last minute decision for Easter dinner. With the help of Yelp I found this brand new resteraunt called Aspen Creek that was just around the corner from us. And despite it only having 3 reviews we decided to give it a try anyways.

Upon arrival I immediatly noticed that it had significantly less cars in the parking lot than the surrounding resteraunts, this can’t be a good sign right? However as soon as we walked inside and got past the semi unwelcoming initial entryway we were greeted by not one, not two, but THREE hostesses who were incredible nice and even paid my family a really nice compliment.

So far so good.

We had a server who was very attentive and was always right on top of our drink refills. We ordered some of their Creek Fries which are fries served with their house queso that will leave you wondering why you didn’t think of putting queso on fries before. I’m certainly going to try making something like this at home.

Each of us ordered one of their combos, even Jayde who normally only eats hamburgers order the rib and chicken tender combo! Personally I had the ribs and shrimp and was in love with the ribs because the ribs literally fell off the bone (so much that I just used a fork instead of getting my hands sticky) and my shrimp were HUGE. As for the sides the best sides were the cheese grits which were very good! We wrapped up our meal with two desserts, the brownie topped with ice cream and the pecan topped apple pie, both were really good, especially the apple pie which I basically claimed as my own.

The staff was friendly and clearly loves their job (we caught the gals up front singing and dancing to the light music playing and it gave us a giggle). If you’re in the Louisville area encourage you to check out this place and tell your friends as well because this place needs to become a permanent fixture in lousiville.
