Since I work from home I watch a lot of tv and movies and despite having cable tv I end up watching a lot of Netflix. Not just a lot but like a LOT. Actually once I told John that I completed Netflix, which I didn’t but came incredibly close! Heres whats on my Netflix queue as of lately, some I have watched and some I plan on watching.
Stonehearst Asylum (WATCHED)
“A recent medical school grad who takes a position at a mental institution soon finds himself taken with one of his colleagues — though he has no initial idea of a recent, horrifying staffing change.”
I just finished watching this one and WOW the twists! I wasn’t sure if I would like this movie because it is set in 1899 and I am not typically a huge fan of movies set in the past but this movie kept my attention the whole time! If you like a movie with almost constant plot twists this movie is for you!
Z Nation (WATCHING)
“Three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood.”
In true SyFy style this show is really cheesy (as far as the graphics and acting go) yet I keep watching because I absolutely love zombies. If you’re looking for something to hold you over until this weekends episode of The Walking Dead you should give this one a try.
American Horror Story (HOPE TO WATCH)
“An anthology series that centers on different characters and locations, including a haunted house, an insane asylum, a witch coven, a freak show and a hotel.”
This is one of those shows that I WANT to watch but just cannot seem to get into. I have watched a few episodes but just cannot get into this show, but those dang commercials on tv make me want to watch it. Needless to say I have found it back in my Netflix queue in hopes that I will eventually watch it an enjoy it.
Catch Hell (WATCHED)
“A once-successful actor must think for himself when he is abducted and tormented by his captors, hell-bent on destroying him in every possible way.”
I love these type of movies, its gory kind of like how Saw was. Decent storyline with lots of blood and such. Then again, there is Ryan Phillippe and I have always loved him since all of his teen movie days and he was pretty decent in this movie as well.
“This reality series reveals the lives of extreme hoarders, following their progress as they get help for their disorder and have their homes cleaned.”
I love this show better than its TLC counterpart because it shows the homes cleaned up and redecorated at the end of each episode. I typically watch this once I have cleared my Netflix queue or if I need something to watch while Im working that won’t require a lot of attention. Also this show is a great motivator to get me cleaning!
Ok, don’t judge me… Clearly I have a thing for cheesy SyFy stuff. I haven’t watched this one yet but only because Im waiting for a free moment to watch this one with the kids because they liked the first one so much.
On that note, what is the most embarrassing thing you have in your Netflix queue?
