I love being able to try out new products that will encourage my kids to put down those gadgets and be creative, which is why I was so excited to try the Beads Quick Dry Design Station.
Whenever this kit arrived I asked Jayde to put it together herself just to see how kid friendly it was, because lets face it no one wants to spend all day putting together a toy. In just a matter of moments and a little help putting the batteries in she was ready to start creating. In fact she spent more time trying to pick out a design template than she did putting it together.
After a while she decided to design a princess, and the whole process was fairly easy. You start by choosing a design and then using the tweezer like prongs to pick up the beads and lay them onto the template. Once your design is complete you spray a small amount of water and then turn on the drying station and then wait!
This part did take some trial and error because we were scared of adding too much water, but we were able to go back and add more water to make the beads set better. In all we had fun, so much in fact that Ethan got jealous and decided to make himself a unicorn. So boys don’t let the color of set scare you away, its fun for boys too!
Jayde even freestyled some and made me this really cute gnome for my desk complete with a 3D nose. I would say that this Beado Quick Dry Design Station was a big hit. The only thing I would change is that I wish it came with more beads, it does come with 500 beads but that only makes a few designs. Luckily Target sells bead refills.
If you want to get those creative juices flowing in that little one in your life be sure to pick up one of these Beado Quick Dry Design Stations today!
