I received a copy of this book in return for this review, but as always all opinions are all my own. Pinky Promise!
I have always been a fan of Hello Kitty every since I was little and walked past a Sanrio store in my mall and saw the big fluffy cloud logo that sat just above a doorway filled with Sanrio characters. It was like love at first sight. As I got older I used to go into that store and purchase all kinds of goodies, everything from stationary goods to snacks with the adorable Sanrio characters on them.
Unfortunately with time those stores in the mall closed down and those goodies that I loved became harder and harder to find but my love for those Sanrio characters never changed. Luckily for me though, Hello Kitty gear has always been semi easy to find which is just one tiny reason that I adore her.
Whenever I heard about the book Hello Kitty, Hello 40 I knew it was going to be one of my favorite books on my book shelf. Whenever it arrived I knew immediately that this book wasn’t going to disappoint either, its pages poured out with kawaii fun. To be fair though I waited for Jayde to get home because she also has a love for Hello Kitty.
I don’t want to spoil this book for you, but if I had to describe it in one word that word would be: MAGICAL. There are drawings from Hello Kitty’s biggest fans, from comic artists to muralists to toy creators—pay tribute in story and art. I really enjoyed sitting with Jayde and admiring all of the different takes on Hello Kitty.
If you have a Hello Kitty fan in your life you absolutely must get your hands on this book immediately!
