I love working from home because it allows me to be with my kids from the moment they get off the bus in the afternoon until they hop back onto the bus in the morning. I get to see each and everyone of their milestones because Im able to be here. Naturally this means that my husband has to work outside of the home, not just because of money but because of the benefits of his job. The biggest benefits being insurance. Luckily all of us have been fairly healthy and have not had any huge hospital stays or anything, but having insurance allows us to rest well at night knowing that if we needed it we would be covered.
That being said, other that briefly looking over our insurance benefits whenever he was hired many years ago we haven’t looked over a single one of our actual benefits in years. Who knows what types of benefits we may have and are missing, who knows if we are even covered on the things that matter most, and what if we are overpaying?! I know personally I am going to be checking over our coverage asap, because its that “what if” that really makes me nervous.
