Delicious Minecraft dirt grass recipe

This past weekend my boys celebrated their 12 and 13 birthdays along with their friends by having a Minecraft themed party. I ended up making a ton of decorations and foods to match the theme, but my very favorite was the mine craft dirt grass which consisted of rice crispy treats and icing.

Delicious Minecraft Dirt Grass Recipe

Make your own Minecraft dirt grass:

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 cups mini marshmallows
6 cups Cocoa Rice Krispies cereal
green icing (store bought is easiest)

In large saucepan melt your butter over low heat, slowly add marshmallows and stir until completely melted together. Remove from heat.

Add your cocoa Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well mixed

Using buttered spatula to evenly press mixture into a pan coated with cooking spray. You want to make these kind of tall so that they cut into nice squares.

Cool for a little while.

Cut into 2-inch squares.

Top with green icing. I used store bought because it was easy and cheap.

Serve to your favorite Minecraft fan!

  1. Why not start with a healthy granola bar (Trader Joe’s makes a good one) and top with more-realistic green coconut? Save yourself some work, and benefit your family’s health as well.
