Essential Summer Movies for Tween / Teen Boys

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Warner Bros.

School is finally out, which means it is finally SUMMER! That also means that more than likely I have three really bored kids already, and I am already searching for great things to entertain us that won’t bore me or the kids. Since my boys are practically teens their interests rarely include the park, or play area anymore. They are all about playing videos, going to the book store digging to through comics, and of course movies. The problem with movies is finding one that everyone can agree on. I have found that we enjoy watching action movies the most.
Superman Man of Steel

Actually we really enjoy watching movies together, some of the boys all time favorite movies to watch are:

– Diary of a Wimpy Kid (we like passing around the cheese touch!)
– Ghostbuster (any of them)
– The Avengers
– Karate Kid
– Teen Wolf
– Battleship
– Honey I Shrunk The Kids
– Daddy Day Care
– Daddy Day Camp
– Spiderman
– Hancock
– I, Robot (Can you tell that we love Will Smith?)
– Avatar
– E.T.
– Jurassic Park
– Mrs. Doubtfire
– Hunger Games
– Transformers
– Night at the Museum
– The Haunted Mansion
– Superman Returns
– Pirates of the Caribbean
– The dark Night
– X-men
– Men in Black (any of them)
– Warm Bodies
– The Host
– Thor
– Edward Scissorhands

We have only a few movies this summer that we plan to see though, our most anticipated summer movie has to be Man of Steel. We have been Superman fans for as long as I can remember, the boys have loved Superman even when they were very small, and after we watched the trailers I can see Man of Steel will bean incredible movie, and only make us bigger fans.

However, the boys leave for Florida on the 20th so we have very limited time to go and see the movie. Luckily for me, for the first time EVER I can purchase Man of Steel tickets at at any Walmart in the Electronics Department (available in 2D or 3D). Which means that I can grab some tickets to see the movie whenever I am grocery shopping this Friday! Talk about super convenient.

By buying them now at Walmart and I will be able to go to the premiere movie showing on June 13th at 7pm, thats before the movie debuts nationwide if you’re wondering. Thats pretty awesome, but thats not it- by purchasing the ticket I also get an exclusive digital comic book written by David S. Goyer, the author of Man of Steel (did I mention my kids LOVE comics, the are going to be SO excited). But wait…. there is MORE, by purchasing these tickets you will also get an exclusive opportunity to pre-order an HD digital download or Blu-Ray copy of the film.
Man of Steel Premiere Tickets
Go to your local Walmart
Visit the electronics department
Purchase your EXCLUSIVE Man of Steel prescreening tickets (available in 2D or 3D)
Take your family to the theater location noted on your ticket and watch the EXCLUSIVE 7 p.m. premiere of Man of Steel on June 13th!

  1. Try the “Back to the Future” trilogy, both “Star Wars” trilogies, “The Matrix” trilogy, “The Mummy” trilogy and the Indiana Jones quadrilogy.
