If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram (or anywhere really) you have seen me post about my daughters super sensitive skin a time or two. It seems that her skin is irritated even just by the most simple things, like some detergents. Yet, I have never tried the “baby” labelled detergent. Partly because I thought it would be too gentle (I mean its meant for babies right?) and not wash her clothes as well (she is a very messy child) and partly because I really enjoy taking clean smelling clothes out of the dryer.
So when I was given the opportunity to try out Purex’s Baby I was excited. No money at risk if I did not
like the detergent, and I could just go back to using my trusty original Purex. I have to tell you, I was slightly shocked whenever I opened the bottle and took a sniff, it smelled nice. Really nice. Whew, one concern down. Now my next question is: Did it clean like my old detergent?
IT DID! I actually put one of Jayde’s favorite white shirts that had a red (who knows what) stain on it, and it came out like new. Clean, and smelling nice. One last concern: Did the new detergent affect her super sensitive skin? NOPE!
Finally, a detergent that I can use for everyone. I wont have to sacrifice her skin, or the cleanliness of our clothes, or even the nice scent of clean clothes. I can throw all of our clothes in one load and was with this detergent. I guess I had the misconception that because these detergents were label “baby” that they were only for babies. This is not the case.

I’m excited to give this a try. Hopefully it will be perfect for my newborn’s sensitive skin!

I am so glad Purex came out with a baby one! Dreft is so expensive, I cant wait to try it for Carters clothes!
