You guys know that we adore cereal. In every form, with milk, dry (especially this way in their lunches), in pancakes (yes, in pancakes) and even as cereal bars like rice crispy treats! However, it never occurred to me that cereal and muffins could work together. So whenever I heard about the Betty Crocker Cereal Muffin Mixes I knew it was something that we must try!
As soon as they arrived we all decided that we must try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch first as an after school treat. The next two days after school we tried the Cocoa Puffs and Reese’s Puffs. The were easy to make and did not taste liked a boxed mix at all, especially because all three of them come with toppings to add on top of the mix. The kids really enjoyed adding the toppings, kind of like sprinkles (but way better).
The Reese’s Puffs were by far our favorite. Which was actually kind of a surprise because normally the kids are not big fans of peanut butter cup flavors, but these were REALLY good. The Cocoa Puffs were also very good, I mean who doesn’t enjoy chocolate muffins?! The Cinnamon Toast Crunch (which we tried first) was our least favorite, Im not sure what it was but we just didn’t car much for the flavor. In all though, these were a perfect break from our normal after school snack. Very easy to make and delicious!
