Today whenever I logged my weight on MyFitnessPal I got this beautiful alert. Over 10 pounds lost. 20 to be exact. Unfortunately I wasn’t using MyFitnessPal from the beginning so I wasn’t able to log it at the beginning. I have been slacking lately, not walking or logging my food. Yet somehow the pounds are still falling off. 20 freaking

Thats when I realized, it wasn’t just logging the food or walking or even being more active. It was me eating correctly. As in eating the correct portion sizes. Who knew the serving size is on the package for a reason! Now I am not saying that those things didnt help, but I know for a fact that I was overeating… a LOT. 

Pizza night for example; before I could take down four pieces and then eat another two later that night (and thats not counting bread sticks) Now Im lucky if I can stomach two pieces, and yet I still feel totally satisfied. I didn’t really need those other 4 slices. Another thing I have changed is eating whenever Im bored. I have caught myself at least a handful of times over the past few days going for food, not because I was hungry but because I wanted something to do.

To think that losing weight really wasn’t that hard, as long as I made myself aware of my habits. Now to get myself up and walking again. Ive already noticed that I am much more dizzy since I have stopped walking, and that is just not acceptable.

Okay, back to the weight, I started out at 195 (ekk!) and my ideal weight is somewhere around 135ish.  I am currently sitting at 175 right now. That leaves me with 40 pounds left to lose. I am assuming I wont end up losing quite that much, because my shoulders are sort of broad and my chest is larger so 135 might be too small. That and I am 5’3. I have tried a ton of those online calculators that tell you your “ideal” weight and most of them say around 125-130 and I just can’t see it, but maybe.
