I saw this post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or whatever, and Im sorry that I don’t remember exactly who said it because my memory is terrible. Basically the person was asking how all the husbands felt about their wives going wild about that new movie Magic Mike. Would those wives be okay with their husbands posting similar things, just in the reverse of course? Ill be honest, I didn’t even read the responses, because who are we kidding, we would be pissed.
Now, I try very hard not to be a prude. I really do. Though I don’t think I would ever be okay with my husband posting pictures like the one below of half naked women. Not only is it sort of tacky, but really, it is totally unnecessary.
So I asked John if he was okay with me watching it, naturally he’s super laid back. This is how our conversation went….
John: I dont care
Me: Okay just wondering
John: If its something you want to see I would not stop you.
Me: Don’t you think its gross?
Me: The whole Matthew Mcconaughey thing makes me gag, and kills the whole movie for me.
John: Thats why I said yes.
This guy. Seriously, he knows me too well. He knew that by Matthew Mcconaughey being in the movie totally cancelled out Channing Tatum being in the movie all together. Because serious, who on earth wants to see/hear him in a stripping movie? Not me.
Thats where the conversation took a nerdy turn, I told John that if Chris Hardwick ever stars in a stripper movie, all bets are off and Im going to see that bad boy, but in total fairness I told John that if Olivia Munn ever did a stripper movie I was totally okay with him seeing it. Thats when I realized that his fantasy (or at least what I assumed was his fantasy) was way more of a reality than mine.
Also, after that our conversation went like this…
John: Old Navy has $1 flip flops on Saturday.
Me: :: Faints::
The man totally gets me. Also, if you’re wondering I will be at Old Navy Saturday morning before my Mamavation 5k, stocking up on flip flops.
