Dear Nanny shows,
Ive watched every episode. Ive analyzed all of your “tips”, especially that little trick you do where you put the kid in time out, and if they get up you keep putting them back until they are quiet and behaving all sweet {no more than a handful of times}. Well I tried that crap. Many times.
Let tonight be an example, Jayde decided to ignore that I asked her to put the propel water down and go to her room, it actually ended up with much fussing, so I stuck her butt in a chair for some quality time out time. Seconds later she’s up, sassing me again. Of course I asked nicely for her to go to time out, but I remembered you didn’t ask you just put the kid back in time out. Thats what I did. Lets just skip ahead….. 30 minutes later, and at least 20 trips back to that dang chair, I have the same issue I had when I started. No sweet kid apologizing. Nothing.
I feel betrayed, was everything I ever learned from your shows a lie? Was it all just a bunch of fancy editing? Im calling your bluff. Successful time out doesn’t exist. Also, the tween age, it SUCKS.
