Summer Reading Programs

With summer just around the corner that means its time for us moms to find things to occupy our children’s time. One of the things my kids enjoy most is reading. Luckily there are some really great summer reading programs out there, that offer the kids some really great incentives. Here are some of my favorite.

Barnes & Noble: Read 8 books and record them in the downloadable reading journal. Bring the journal to your local Barnes & Noble to get a free book from their selection on the Reading Journal list.

Half Price Books: Read for at least 15 minutes each day for a month {Mom’s and Dad’s can read out loud to the little ones}. Once you’ve read 300 minutes, turn in your completed downloadable reading log to earn your $5 HPB Back-to-School Bucks reading reward for the month.

Pottery Barn Kids: Kids of all ages are invited to join for story time each Tuesday {11:00-11:30am}. Members will receive a passport on their first visit,  and after the fifth story time they will receive a gift.

Local libraries also offer great reading programs, as well as some really fun reading actives, be sure to check those out as well!

This last one is just for reading but a whole bunch of other things as well.
Chuck E. Cheese: Fill out a downloadable calendar, and once the goal has been met bring it in for 10 free tokens!

I know my bunch will be enjoying these programs, I hope yours will as well!
