I had the pleasure of receiving two copies of “Pretty” by Jillian Lauren. One for me to enjoy, and one for one of my readers. Initially I was concerned about reading this book because Im quite a book snob, and I was concerned that it wouldn’t be the best and I would still have to power through it, and then find something nice to say on my blog about it. Luckily for me it was the total opposite. I’ve found its really hard to find a GOOD book. One that makes you feel like your in the book. “Pretty” did that. Its going to be added to my library of books I will reread over and over.
I adore her almost “song like” writing, flowing perfectly. Pretty is beautifully written and descriptive.
(Im still reading this book, since because of my health I can only read small bits at a time. I will have a full review written later.)

ABOUT JILLIAN LAUREN:
Author and performer Jillian Lauren grew up in suburban New Jersey and fled across the water to New York City. She attended New York University for three minutes before dropping out to work in downtown theater, where she performed with Richard Foreman’s Ontological Hysteric Theater, among others.
Her New York Times bestselling memoir, SOME GIRLS: My Life in a Harem was published by Plume in April 2010. It has since been translated into fourteen different languages.

Her debut novel, PRETTY, was released on August 30, 2011.
